A fragrant story
The first time I encountered true rose oil was in the bustling souks of Marrakech. I was struck by its' intense fragrance and learnt that it was distilled from the Rosa damascena, Damask rose flower. Rose Botanica pays homage to this fragrant store hidden in a Moroccan medina with the addition of Egyptian geranium, uplifting bergamot and palmarosa to tone down the scent of this very heady flower of romance.
Pure Plant Essences
- Rose Absolute - One of the most precious oils in the world, it takes many kilos of rose petals to produce just a small amount of oil. A beautiful rich and fragrant, sensual scent with sweet rosy-floral fragrance notes.
- Geranium - Extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and used extensively in perfumery making a fragrant addition to many blends.
- Palmarosa - Steam distilled from the fresh or dried grass with a sweet, rosy, floral scent.
- Bergamot -Extracted through cold pressing of the peel with an uplifting, fresh and fruity scent.
