As a founder-led brand, we've always taken an eco-conscious approach to how we run our company and are committed to ensuring that our practices are respectful to the environment putting sustainability and reusability at the forefront of our business.
Our home fragrances are produced in small quantities, by hand in our studio on what was once a dairy farm, located in the heart of Kent, England.
RAW MATERIALS - Nature and Provenance
At Wild Planet Aromatherapy, we attach great importance to ingredients and their origin returning to natural aromas developed with respect for the environment.
Our home fragrance collections include scented candles, diffusers, mists, melts, oils and incense. All are made with essential oils, natural origin, fully traceable and carefully selected from crops around the planet with many of our oils harvested on small family farms.
We work with trusted ethical suppliers who carry out thorough checks ensuring exceptional quality and that all the plant species are distilled or cold pressed with infinite care to keep all their properties intact.
In keeping with our commitment to put sustainability and reusability at the forefront, all of our Reed Diffusers can easily be reused by topping up with our Refills. Our Diffuser bottles, candle glasses and jars are made to last and can also be recycled or upcycled. Many of our customers simply wash them and reuse them as small vases, pen holders and the jars are useful for storage containers for all manner of items.
VEGAN & CRUELTY FREE
Considering the preservation and impact of our planet, we are committed to cruelty-free, sustainable and environmentally sensitive practices. Our home fragrances are all Vegan and none of our formulations are subject to animal testing nor do we commission or condone any such testing to be done on our behalf.
We take a considered approach to all of our packaging and always with a focus on recyclables. Bottles and jars made of glass, recyclable boxes made from partially recycled material FSC standard from sustainably managed forests. Plastic components are minimised and we are proactively working towards safe and reliable alternatives.
As a UK brand, we know how important it is to support other local businesses. We buy all of our labels (and there are thousands!) from a family printing business that we have been working with for many years right here in Kent.
All of our outer box cartons that we send our online orders are recyclable, can easily be reused and we are gradually transitioning over to using a more environmentally produced carton which uses 60-90% recycled content. The filler used to make sure your products are in perfect condition when transported is either made from100% recycled news offcuts, recyclable tissue paper or biodegradable packing chips. Our marketing and instruction cards are printed on paper made from 100% recycled fibres.
We love our planet and want to ensure it thrives and are a proud member of 1% For The Planet means that 1% of our annual turnover (not profit) is donated to organisations actively making a difference from Kent to Kuala Lumpur. Whether it's planting more trees in the UK or pioneering sustainable approaches to ensuring rural villages in Asia have access to clean water and sanitation. Learn more here.
